Reboot is optional after installation. Updates will be effective after reboot. Hardware stability will be maintained without reboot.

Installation:

The Management Component Pack for CentOS 6 (i386 and x86_64) is a compressed tarfile, which includes all available packages, may be copied to the Linux target server, and unpacked.

From a terminal prompt as an administrator, change into the respective sub-directory - Distribution/Version/Architecture/Release and perform the following command for each component desired:

yum localinstall <PackageName> or
rpm -i <PackageName>
 
 

These packages are also available from the HP Software Delivery Repository http://downloads.linux.hp.com/SDR/. Please refer to the Getting Started information to understand how to configure and use the Software Delivery Repository.
